Paid Surveys you say, Oh Really...?

In this post i am going to concentrate on reviewing a couple of the numerous 'paid surveys online' sites that have been springing up all over the internet.
In this post i am going to concentrate on reviewing a couple of the numerous 'paid surveys online' sites that have been springing up all over the internet.
There are plentiful sites and i whilst i dont wish to tar them all with the same brush, this overview should give you an insight into what paid surveys at home are really all about.
Let me start with a warning : NEVER, EVER pay any registration fee to join a paid survey site. If its a legitimate business they will never ask you for this and its a scam!
OK, lets start at the beginning - the advertising and marketing.
Whenever you Google search 'make money online' or 'work from home' etc the you can guarantee that several paid survey sites are going to crop up. Many are sponsored Google Adwords ads, and there are several thousand standard links too.
The problems begin when you read these ad's or links.
- MAKE £££'S TAKING SURVEYS AT HOME IN YOUR SPARE TIME!
- I MADE £900 LAST WEEK TAKING PAID SURVEYS ONLINE
- EARN SPARE MONEY NOW, UP TO £30 PER SURVEY
You get the general idea. Sounds pretty good right? WRONG!
I have signed up to several of these sites in my efforts to make some extra cash online and i can reveal what really happens behind the scenes.
So you sign up to a site, eager to get started and make a bit of cash, and are then (usually) told you need to sign up for several OTHER survey companies. Ok no problem you say, i've come this far. That done, you then need to enter a wealth of personal information which is rather time consuming, in order for these companies to evaluate whether you are a suitable candidate for each survey.
- Not every person will qualify for every survey
- For example: a particular survey may be looking for a female Ford owner in her early thirties whom is a home-owner and likes pie (o.k i made the last bit up but you get the idea), and unless you have own of these you wont qualify to even complete the survey. (You can't lie as you dont find out the pre-requisites until AFTER you have answered the qualifying questions - which is a mini survey in itself!)
Finally, you find a survey for which you qualify. Excellent you say, i'm ready to start earning some serious money. WRONG!
- Yes, you will earn money. The amount however is more likely to be 0.10 pence rather than the £30 you were promised earlier.
- 0.10 pence for a survey that takes perhaps 45 mins to an hour to complete.
So 45 minutes of your precious time for TEN MEASLY PENCE? I dont think so.
You fill out the survey anyway, hoping the next one will be better. WRONG!
The next survey turns out to pay, yep you guessed it, 0.10 pence! And thats if you even qualify!
By this stage i imagine you are getting a little peeved, where are the £30 surveys you begin to wonder? So off you go to check your email inbox....
Holy crap - 3 billion unread messages! You return to your email to find it has been invaded by the paid survey martians, with 99.999999% of them offering a measly payout of no more than 0.20pence. Even if it took only ten minutes to complete each survey that would equate to £1.20 an hour - i dont know about you but i'm not getting out of bed for that.
Add the sites to the spam list in your email filters and move on to something else, it simply is not worth it.
I hope this little blog has given you an insight into the murky world of paid surveys and possibly saved you the time and effort required to get involved.
In closing:
If like me, you are serious about making money online then the only method i would recommend is affiliate marketing, or better still make your own product and sell that. You could easily write an ebook about a subject close to your heart and sell it for profit.
NEVER EVER, let anyone tell you that making money on the internet requires little to no effort, this simply isnt true. Even in today's saturated market there is still a ton of money to be made, but as with any venture it requires time, patience and effort.
Subscribe to my blog where i will be pulling back the curtain on all the shady operators out there and revealing the TRUTH about the money making scams. Those internet marketing 'gurus' cannot continue to rip-off the little guy, and here's where it stops.

P.S as a disclaimer i have to state that many paid survey sites are legitimate business as surveys up to the value described above do exist. They are very few and far between however, so i wouldnt waste your time.

- Push button extreme is basically a non-static pyramid scheme.
- In most pyramid schemes your entry point never changes (think GDI), and therefore your commission rate is static based on the number of referals you make to grow your downline.
- However, the claim behind this one is that we are all equal and all get a chance to reach the top of the pyramid and get paid. (At which point its back to the bottom and start the cycle all over again).
- The biggest selling point here is that it requires NO personal sponsorship to start earning - they are clearly targeting this one at newbie marketeers.
Do a google search for Push Button Extreme and as per usual all the big internet 'guru' names crop up - birds of a feather anyone? I pretty much guarantee THEY will make a ton of money, but pretty much anyone else wont.
I am a sucker for punishment so in the interests of fairness i am going to pay these guys my 100 odd dollar signing up fee and report back here with my findings on a regular basis. I urge you to NOT part with any of your hard-earned cash in the meantime. If this is a genuine opportunity you will hear it here first.
